clean it up
Next, wipe down the piece of furniture to make it a nice clean surface. This will remove any remaining dust or debris from sanding in step 1. Without cleaning off the furniture, step 3 (prime & paint) will make it clumpy and it will look sloppy.
tip: go over the piece of furniture with a wet towel or old rag then follow behind with a slightly damp paper towel to be sure to pick up any left over dust.
